In fact, it took Jake at Magimation over two weeks to build this piece of the Red Planet, which covers about 150 square kilometres of Martian' real estate. The canyon, for instance, where we used the latest pics from ESA for reference, is seven kilometres deep in some places. But the biggest difference between now and 65 million years ago, when the MAORI ON MARS saga all takes place, is flowing water, including rivers, lakes and most remarkable of all, breathable air. Which the aliens stripped from Mars as retribution, after they were humiliatingly defeated. Arseholes is too nice a word for them.

Magimation is in process of creating a new hi-def MAORI ON MARS promo clip, where most of the action takes place inside of this canyon. So that may give you some idea about how huge this virtual set really is! Stay tuned for a dynamite clip.
