Blogs are great, they’re informal and relaxed just like our animation studio in Auckland, New Zealand-Aotearoa. Not many countries have a dual name, a Dutch guy named it New Zealand but the Maori call our islands Aotearoa, meaning “Land of the Long White Cloud”, which sure sounds like it could be somewhere in Middle Earth.

This is a very exciting time for Magimation, we've kept our heads down for two years, incubating and developing a range of original 3D animation television series, and now we're almost ready to start marketing our unique brand of entertainment to the world.

We’ve all witnessed the phenomenal success of 3D animation at the cinema and it's fairly obvious to most that the small screen will follow in its footsteps, now that it's cost effective. That's why we set up Magimation, that's why we've been flat out creating new 3D shows, getting ready for the coming boom-times on television.

Zany sci-fi/fantasy with lots of music and humour is the style we love. Here's three examples of our shows.


ALPHA is sexy, edgy, zany fun. Sci-fi, music and humour all in one. The show targets late teens and 20's - imagine Melrose Place in outer space, with aliens at the party.

MAORI ON MARS follows the epic adventures of a US Navy pilot who gets abducted by alien slavers and shipped to Mars, where he gets rescued by a long lost Maori tribe that's been trapped on the Red Planet for over 200 years.

HOLY HELL! Tales from the files of a demon detective doing business in Hell: a high-tech dimension with mega cities, endless highways, lava submarines, Avenging Angels, the Great Satan Corporation and Demon TV.
